Sylvain Justier co-founded Magenta at the end of 2008. He was previously a senior associate with Bureau Francis Lefebvre and White & Case Paris. Sylvain Justier is specialized in French and European competition law and in law for deregulated sectors (in particular as concerns electronic communications and energy). He works in the following fields for French and foreign clients:
- actions before the Competition Council or the European Commission for anti-competitive practices, notifications of merger operations, actions for unfair competition and for private enforcement before commercial courts, etc.
- regular assistance to major telecom operators, both in the field of fixed telephony as well as mobile services and internet : preparation and negotiation of contracts for interconnection and access to fixed and mobile networks (unbundling agreements, MVNO contracts, bitstream, wholesale line rental, etc.), preparation of responses to public consultations initiated by ARCEP (the French telecoms regulator) and the European Commission, litigation before ARCEP and the French Competition Council, etc.
- in the area of energy, assistance to operators in negotiating and drafting contracts for access to networks and electricity purchasing, advising new players regarding the application of gas and electricity regulations, implementing industrial partnerships, etc.
