Subodh leads the Competition/Anti-Trust law practice at the Firm. Subodh is a former Additional Director General of the Competition Commission of India. As a former civil servant with over 22 years of distinguished service, Subodh acted as Director-General of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission and as ADG at the Competition Commission. He took voluntary retirement in August 2013 to pursue his passion for Competition law. Subodh thus has the unique distinction of working both in the capacity of a law enforcer, and since 2013 as a lawyer at the private bar. Subodh’s advisory and contentious practice are in a diverse array of fields and his client list includes a large number of national, multinational and fortune 500 companies.Subodh was involved with India’s first successful complaint to the competition commission in relation to anti-trust issues arising from the licensing of Telecom Standard Essential Patents.
