Silvia is an associate in Freshfields’ antitrust, competition and trade group, based in the Brussels office. After training with the firm in 2015, she spent three years in one of the merger control units of the European Commission. As case handler at DG Competition, she handled merger reviews in sectors including luxury and consumer goods, retail and construction materials. Since rejoining Freshfields, Silvia has worked on merger control analyses and filings at both EU and multijurisdictional level and has assisted clients on antitrust compliance. She works in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
