Mr Samuel Chan was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 1989 and has been involved in various company law matters and shareholders disputes over the years. He sat as a Deputy District Judge in 2006 and has considerable experience as adjudicator or member in various statutory tribunals and appeal boards. He is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Consumer Council, member of the Competition Commission chairing the Commission’s Enforcement Committee, Non-Executive Director of the Insurance Authority and Member of the Equal Opportunities Commission.

Mr Chan is also a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators , and is registered on the List of Arbitrators of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre.
