Ronan Scanlan is a Senior Associate in the EU, Competition and Regulatory Group at Matheson in Dublin, where he advises clients on complex merger filings, antitrust investigations and State aid. Ronan was previously Deputy Director of Mergers at the Competition and Markets Authority, where he led the review of some of the most high-profile and complex mergers, including British Telecom’s acquisition of EE Limited and Acadia Healthcare Group’s acquisition of the Priory. He trained and qualified at Macfarlanes LLP and spent time on secondment to Tesco Group plc. He holds a Masters in EU Competition Law from King’s College London.
