Pamela Sittenfeld is Chief Of Staff and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica. She was a special counsel for BLP Legal. She was counsel and executive director of the Commission for the Promotion of Competition for nine years. She has been a member of the National Supervisory Council of the Financial System and a Board Director of the Public Services Regulation Authority. In addition, she has worked as a consultant for competition authorities in Costa Rica and other countries, as well as for international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Inter-American Development Bank, and the United Nations Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean. Pamela obtained her Law degree from Universidad de Costa Rica in 1996. In 1999, she earned a master’s degree, with distinction as a Chevening Scholar, in Regulation, Competition and Public Service Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
