Nadine has more than 15 years’ experience as an applied economist specializing in competition policy and in the application of economic analysis and econometric techniques in the context of the quantification of damages in litigation and arbitration. She has advised clients in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation and consumer goods. She has worked for parties involved in European Commission investigations including UPS/TNT – including on the European Court Appeals of UPS/TNT, Unilever/Sara Lee, and Deutsche Börse/NYSE. Her experience in non-merger cases includes several abuse of dominance investigations in relation to postal services, dairy milk, and non-life insurance and the quantification of damages resulting from cartels (air freight, high voltage cables, GIS, and auto parts). She has given expert testimony before the European Commission, the International Court of Arbitration, the Finnish, Portuguese, Romanian, Ukrainian and Colombian competition authorities and before the Portuguese and Spanish Commercial Courts. She has also assisted legal teams in several follow-on damage cases before the UK High Court. Nadine obtained a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in EC competition law from King’s College London. She is listed in the Who’s Who Legal: Competition Economists and has published in a number of academic journals including the Journal of Monetary Economics.
