Miriam van Heyningen is Senior Legal Counsel at Shell International B.V. in the Netherlands, currently being an Ethics & Compliance Manager for Shell’s New Energies business. She is a lawyer with particular expertise in compliance, competition and antitrust law, anti-bribery, corruption and European law. Ms. Van Heyningen was also a member at the Competition Expertise Team, within the Competition Department of the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) (The Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) is the predecessor of the Dutch Consumer & Market Authority (ACM)) from 2006 to 2013 after serving in private practice, as a lawyerr in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP from 2001 to 2006.
