Kate works on complex domestic and international mergers and advises clients on a range of contentious competition law and enforcement matters. Given her previous background working for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Kate brings deep insights and a strategic approach when working with clients to solve complex competition and consumer concerns. Kate is interested in all aspects of the Australian competition and consumer law, including merger clearances, joint ventures, collaborations and enforcement. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the Australian National University. Before joining Herbert Smith Freehills, she worked at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Kate is qualified as an Australian legal practitioner in Victoria and the High Court of Australia.
