Philipp focuses his advice on merger control proceedings and distribution antitrust law. In the field of merger control, Philipp has represented companies in complex proceedings before the German Federal Cartel Office and advised them in international merger control proceedings. Philipp has, among other things, been involved in our pro bono project Debate It! and supports trainee lawyers as a mentor. He also gives lectures on antitrust law at the European Business School in Wiesbaden. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Philipp studied law at the University of Saarland and at the University of Exeter in the United Kingdom where he received a Master of Laws in European Law (LL.M.). During his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Saarland, he trained at the German Federal Cartel Office.
