Case handler

Romana Hajnovicova is a case handler at European Commission, DG COMP (Directorate General for Competition) since 2015. Romana currently works in the antitrust unit investigating abuses of dominant position in the internet, IT and consumer electronics markets. Before that, she handled mergers in the markets for services at the European Commission. She is also a fully trained inspector for cartel investigations and has participated to several dawnraids on the side of the European Commission. Prior to that, she has worked at the Competition Authority of the Slovak Republic as a case handler and State advisor on mergers. She graduated from University of Exeter (Bachelor of Laws - LLB) and King’s College London (Masters of Laws - LLM Competition Law and EU Law). She obtained several academic awards and stipends from the UK government for her studies.
