Ted Hassi is a litigation partner and member of the Antitrust Group. His practice focuses on antitrust litigation and obtaining merger clearances in transactions reviewed by the U.S. antitrust agencies. Mr. Hassi is a former FTC Chief Trial Counsel who from 2011–2014 led the agency’s work on matters that were or were likely to be tried, including high-profile challenges to several mergers and cases involving other anticompetitive practices. As a strong transactional antitrust practitioner and an accomplished first chair trial lawyer, Mr. Hassi is a proven litigator and trusted counselor to clients navigating antitrust challenges. He regularly represents clients across an array of industries. Throughout his career, Mr. Hassi has established himself as a respected thought leader, regularly speaking at conferences and authoring articles on a range of antitrust subjects. A highly regarded member of the antitrust bar, he is a former U.S. Navy pilot who pursued law following a successful eight-year military career. He received his J.D. cum laude from Fordham University School of Law, where he was also selected to the Order of the Coif; and earned a B.S. from the United States Naval Academy.
