Carter Chim is Professional Consultant at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Carter was a legal counsel in the Competition Commission (Hong Kong). Carter is a specialist in competition law. He obtained his LLM in Competition Law (Distinction) from King’s College London on the British Chevening Postgraduate Scholarship in 2011. He also obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law in 2016. During his private practice as a barrister in Hong Kong in 2012-2015, he was briefed by the Competition Commission, the Office of the Communications Authority and private parties in relation to competition matters. He is also a member of the Hong Kong Bar Association’s Special Committee on Competition Law. Carter is currently a practising barrister and a member of Denis Chang’s Chambers.
