Börries Ahrens is partner to Hamburg Allen & Overy. Before, he was partner to Hamburg office White & Case. He will work closely with Ellen Braun, head of the German Antitrust practice and partner Jürgen Schindler, who splits his time between the Hamburg and Brussels offices. Börries Ahrens advises clients on all aspects of EU and German competition law. He frequently represents clients in merger control proceedings before the EU Commission and the Bundeskartellamt. In addition, Mr. Ahrens defends clients in antitrust investigations and Court disputes and advises on all aspects of joint ventures and distribution schemes. He also helps companies to maintain effective antitrust compliance programs. Mr. Ahrens’ recent industry experience includes machinery, pharmaceuticals, trade, automotive and cinemas.
