Benjamin Lehaire is a professor at the School of Business Administration of TELUQ University. Professor Lehaire holds a doctorate in private law from Laval University and the University of La Rochelle (France). His thesis received several distinctions. First honored with a special mention of the jury at the Jacques Lassier thesis prize organized by the International League of Competition Law, he received the prestigious Minerve Prize 2014 edition organized by the Yvon Blais Editions under the chairmanship of the Honorable Jean-Louis Baudouin. The Quebec Association of Comparative Law also awarded him the 2014-2015 prize in the post-graduate category, in recognition of his doctoral research in comparative law. Professor Lehaire is also the author of a monograph on unfair competition published by Yvon Blais in 2015. He also contributes to the Jurisclasseur Québec Droit des obligations on the contractual obligations of banks and regularly publishes articles on civil law and business law, with an interest in the law of obligations and civil liability and their interactions with economic law. Professor Lehaire is also a frequent speaker in academic and professional circles. He is also a member of the Centre d’études en droit économique de l’Université Laval, the Quebec Association of Comparative Law and the International League of Competition Law.
