Andreas Heinemann is a Professor of Commercial, Economic and European Law at the University of Zurich. Since 2018, he chaires the Swiss Competition Commission. Before, Andreas Heinemann was an assistant at the Institute for International Law at the University of Munich from 1993 to 2000. He then became a substitute professor of law at the University of Munich and Jena between 2000 and 2001. In 2001, he was appointed professor at the University of Lausanne, where he taught German legal language and German private law. While maintaining a teaching mandate in Lausanne, he has been teaching economic and European law at the University of Zurich since 2007. Considered an expert in European, Swiss and international economic law, his area of expertise is antitrust and intellectual property law.
