Since May 2019, Zsolt Vertessy is a Case Handler Officer at DG COMP. Previously, he had been a competition law associate at Slaughter & May in Brussels advising on EU and UK competition law. His experience includes achieving merger control clearances in novel markets, managing challenging divestment processes, developing competition compliance strategies and advising on EU law challenges to national legislation. He regularly advised clients on sectoral regulation at EU and national level. He advised a broad range of leading international companies and had developed a focus on the online/technology and financial services sectors.
