Zaakir Tameez is a J.D. Candidate at Yale University. He is interested in antitrust, technology, privacy, and first amendment law. Previously, Zaakir was an LL.M. student at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary University of London as a Fulbright Scholar. There, he studied European competition and data protection law. He also co-authored two law review articles on anticompetitive practices in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to graduate studies, Zaakir worked as Presidential Fellow in the Office of President James E. Ryan at the University of Virginia since 2019. At UVA, Zaakir worked on speechwriting, participated on executive search committees, and oversaw implementation of several strategic initiatives.
