Uri Weinstok

Uri Weinstok is the head of the antitrust and competition practice at BLP. His experience includes filing and approval of mergers, representation in filing complaints and defending against investigations by the authorities, and the conduct of audits and compliance programs that help prevent and avoid anticompetitive behaviour. For more than 10 years he was a member of the Costa Rican Competition Authority (COPROCOM), and he was also its President. He has been an international consultant for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the World Bank, and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. He obtained his law degree at the University of Costa Rica (1996), and a postgraduate diploma on EU Competition Law at King’s College, University of London (2001).
