Thomas Buettner is an economist in the Chief Economist’s Team at DG Competition of the European Commission. He has prior experience in economic consulting in competition cases at Charles River Associates (CRA) and Lexecon Ltd. He holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics. He is an expert in competition economics, industrial organization more generally, and applied econometrics. Thomas speaks German, English and French.
