Teresa Vecchi

Teresa is the Deputy Head of Unit of the merger unit responsible for reviewing concentrations in the sectors of energy and environment at the European Commission’s DG Competition. Teresa has extensive experience as a competition lawyer at the European Commission, having been a member of the competition team of the Legal Service for many years and, previously, a case-handler at DG Competition. In 2020 Teresa was responsible for the negotiation of the Level Playing Field Title of the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement. Before joining the European Commission, Teresa was a competition lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. She holds an LLM from Harvard Law School with focus on competition law.
