Stephen Libowsky is a partner in Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP’s Chicago office. Mr. Libowsky is an antitrust and competition attorney who has significant experience working on antitrust litigation, has achieved numerous successes in antitrust trials and appeals, has counseled clients on a wide range of antitrust and competition issues, and in regularly navigating deals through the United States Department of Justice Antitrust Division, the Federal Trade Commission and competition agencies around the world. Mr. Libowsky also has an active pro-bono practice. Mr. Libowsky regularly represents clients in MDL proceedings and counsels and litigates on the antitrust issues in matters regarding mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, relationships with competitors, distribution matters and unfair competition matters. Mr. Libowsky also has an extensive practice counseling in and litigating professional negligence matters and in establishing “best practices” in areas of law firm ethics and conflicts matters. He also acts as an expert consultant and witness on behalf of law firms in professional negligence matters. These matters have raised the full range of tort, contract, fiduciary duty and various statutory claims.
