Sophie Bara is an associate in the Vienna office and a member of the competition law practice group. Her focus is on internal investigations in connection with cartel infringements, the preparation, submission and coordination of leniency applications before the European Commission and national competition authorities, the review of vertical and horizontal agreements (in particular e-commerce), as well as advice in merger control cases on a national and international basis. Sophie holds a law degree (Mag iur) from the University of Vienna. She was one of the top students of her class, and advanced quickly through the program in only 2.5 years. Sophie was accepted to the High Potential Program of the University of Vienna for her exceptional academic performance. During her studies, she gained practical experience at several other prestigious commercial law firms in Vienna. Sophie speaks German, English, and French.
