Samuel Berneman is an associate working in our Competition & EU law practice in Brussels. He primarily advises clients on all aspects of competition law as well as on trade defence matters. Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2021, he spent over four years working as an associate at another leading international law firm, where he specialised in competition issues, EU regulation and policy, and international trade issues. During that time, he spent nine months working on secondment in Berlin, where he learnt to adapt and contribute to a different work environment and fostered relationships between colleagues across offices.
