Philipp Girardet advises on a broad range of EU and UK competition law issues, including complex merger and cartel matters. He also has an active competition compliance and competition litigation practice, across a wide spectrum of industry sectors, including e-commerce, financial services, consumer goods, pharma, telecoms and transport. He also advises on UK criminal cartel offence matters. He was the Deputy Director of the Cartel Investigations division at the UK Competition Authority (then the Office of Fair Trading) and the Co-Chair of the Leniency Working Group of the European Competition Network (ECN) from 2005 to 2007.Philipp is recognised in ‘The Lawyer Hot 100’ list (2021) which notes that “Girardet is a market leader among a growing group of competition lawyers, highly regarded for his particular expertise in mergers and cartels”.
