


Nicola Pesaresi
Nicola Pesaresi is Head of State aid Unit in the field of energy and environment at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission. He was previously in charge of State aid policy and scrutiny, State Aid case support and State Aid coordination. He joined the European Commission in 1999. He has previously worked nine years for the Bank of Italy, in the department for banking supervision. He is an economist by education and qualified for Yale University Master of Arts in Economics, and Bocconi University degree in Economics and Social Sciences. He was born in Italy in 1963.
