Mohamed ElFar is a counsel within the Cairo office of Baker McKenzie. He firstly joined in 2014 as a senior associate and meanwhile working with Cairo office, he managed to move to the firm’s London office for six months where he worked at the EU, competition & trade department starting from April 2015 till September 2015, mainly on investigations and merger filings. Mohamed ElFar worked as well on several occasions at the Egyptian Competition. He has wide experience in the development and implementation of competition law compliance programmes for multinational companies in a wide range of industry sectors. He handles cartels, abuse of dominance, compliance, price fixing, market division. Besides competition matters, Mohamed ElFar has worked extensively on trade disputes related to customs, dumping and safeguards measure. Mohamed ElFar has experience too in providing compliance training sessions to clients including training on anti-bribery, compliance, dawn raid and unfair competition issues. He also provides assistance in mergers and acquisitions transactions to ensure compliance with competition laws. Mohamed ElFar is a master holder from Queen Mary University of London, year 2008 and used to work as Doctor of philosophy, competition law for three years at Queen Mary University of London.
