Mario Barka joined White & Case in 2019 and is a member of the Firm’s EU law practice.
He advises on a broad range of EU competition matters, with a particular focus on allegations of abuse of dominance, cross-border merger control and horizontal and vertical agreements. He also advises on questions of EU internal market law.
Mario has experience across a broad range of industries, including oil & gas, IT, pharmaceutical and automotive.
He actively participates in the Firm’s pro bono work and has provided advice to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Prior to joining White & Case, Mario worked at the Brussels office of an international law firm, where he was involved in a number of high-profile antitrust cases.
He holds a Master of Laws degree focused on EU Competition law from College of Europe, Bruges and a Master’s Degree in EU law from University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, both with honours. Prior to pursuing postgraduate studies, Mario obtained a Bachelor’s degree from University of Strasbourg and University of Montreal.
