Marc has broad experience litigating in this area, for instance in cartel proceedings and cartel damages claims. He gives advice on the application of competition rules (cartel prohibition, ban on abuse of dominance, prohibition on state aid and merger control) and the regulatory framework for the Dutch healthcare and EU tech sector. His other areas of expertise include supervision of competition and healthcare authorities, corporate investigations and compliance. Marc is a member of the Loyens & Loeff Competition Litigation Team, the Corporate Investigations Team and the Healthcare Team. He focuses on (regulated) sectors such as healthcare, tech, pharma, harbour and food. Marc is a (head) lecturer at the Grotius Academy, where he teaches post-graduate courses in healthcare and competition law, and he teaches at universities on a regular basis. He lectures and publishes frequently on issues relating to competition and healthcare law in professional journals. He is author of the book Digital Competition Law in Europe and is editor of the Handbook on Healthcare Compliance.
