Marc Hansen is a strategic advisor on several major international technology cooperation initiatives. Marc Hansen retired from Latham & Watkins on January 31, 2021, after joining the firm as a partner in 2002. He was a partner based in the Brussels and London offices and has particular experience in complex international regulatory and public policy issues, including antitrust law, IP, and standardization and trade law disputes. He acted as global coordinating counsel in a large number of international antitrust, cartel, and business crime matters affecting US, EU, UK, Japan, Australia, South Africa, Korea, Brazil, Canada, and many emerging enforcement jurisdictions. Mr. Hansen served on the Advisory Panel of the intergovernmental International Competition Network (ICN) 2008-2020 and was a frequent speaker on antitrust and IP matters at leading conferences. His notable successes were recognized by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards in 2009 and 2011, and over the years by Chambers, Legal 500, and Who’s Who Legal. He is a former active member of the bars of Denmark, England & Wales and Brussels and a member of the New York Bar.
