Lesli Esposito joined McDermott Will & Emery in 2021. For more than 20 years, Lesli Esposito has helped clients around the globe navigate complex antitrust and consumer protection matters. She has deep experience handling government investigations, litigation, compliance, and global merger control on behalf of clients in diverse industries, including consumer products, retail, technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, telemarketing, oil and gas, mortgage lending and professional services. Lesli Esposito advises on the full spectrum of business practice issues, including competitor collaborations, exclusive agreements, pricing practices, potential tying issues, resale price maintenance, use of competitive information and issues specific to entities with monopoly power. She has particular experience handling consumer protection issues, such as false and deceptive advertising claims, social media compliance, marketing issues, product labeling, distribution issues and select privacy and cyber issues. Lesli represents clients in government investigations conducted by the FTC, US Department of Justice (DOJ), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and states attorneys general, and in litigation in federal and state courts, including class actions. She has represented Fortune 500 companies in merger control matters before the FTC and DOJ, and coordinates merger control filings and approvals in jurisdictions around the world. Prior to joining McDermott, Lesli Esposito was co-chair of the US antitrust and competition practice at a global law firm, as well as chair of the retail sector. She previously served as a lead attorney at the FTC. Lesli is a sought-after author and speaker on antitrust and consumer protection issues, and is frequently quoted by media outlets such as USA Today, Time magazine, CNBC and Law360.
