Laurie Binge is an economist and data analyst working as a managing director at FTI Consulting, based in Cape Town. Laurie recently completed a PhD (Economics) at Stellenbosch University. The dissertation used various methods to aggregate microeconomic data to calculate art price indices, business sentiment indicators and historical commodity price indices. Laurie worked on a wide range of projects for large corporate clients in telecommunications, resources, retail, healthcare, real estate, as well as various government agencies.
