Lale Tuzmen Aktas has experience in cross-border transactions, corporate law and financial services, and advises technology companies through all stages of their life cycle. On the public sector side, she advises policy makers, international organizations and regulatory authorities on data privacy, consumer protection and competition matters. Lale started her career with leading Turkish law firm Paksoy, followed by the New York office of Norton Rose Fulbright in 2017, where she continued to focus on the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Lale Tuzmen Aktas Lale also advises Turkish companies expanding into global markets, including the United States. She is a mentor at the Hamdi Ulukaya Initiative – an entrepreneur support program initiated and run by Chobani’s Founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya. Lale is licensed to practice law in New York and in Turkey. Lale received an LLM degree in Corporations from New York University (NYU) School of Law in 2017, where she was a Graduate Editor of the NYU Journal of International Law and Politics. She was awarded her first law degree (LLB) from Galatasaray University in Istanbul in 2013.
