Koichiro Hanamoto is a partner at TMI Associates in Tokyo. Recognized in the Who’s Who Legal Competition since 2020 and in the Edition of The Best Lawyers in Japan since 2021, he has over 20 years of private practice and regulator experience in Japan, including three years as a chief investigator for the Japan Fair Trade Commission where he dealt with international cartels and unfair trade practices. He has successfully lead a number of cases in multi-jurisdictional merger control, government investigations and follow-on litigations based on his practical knowledge and experience.
