Kazuya Muta joined the JFTC in 2008 and is currently deputy director of the Inter-Enterprise Trade Division of the Trade Practices Department. His main work to date includes writing reports for the April 2016 ‘Follow-up Survey on Gasoline Transaction’ and the June 2017 ‘Survey on LNG Trades’, writing the December 2018 ‘Policies Concerning Commitment Procedures’, and preparing for the implementation of the 2019 Revised Antimonopoly Act. He also presided over the drafting of the 2020 Revised Whistleblower Protection Act at the Consumer Affairs Agency.
