John Magruder is an Associate at Jones Day. He assists clients with antitrust law issues and focuses on premerger notification compliance under the Hart Scott Rodino (HSR) Act. In all HSR matters, he works with clients where possible to limit their regulatory burden and reduce their cost of compliance. John’s experience, spanning a wide variety of industries, includes advice on numerous cross-border transactions. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2015, John was an antitrust attorney with the DC Attorney General’s Office, where he investigated and litigated mergers and anticompetitive conduct, violations under the DC False Claims Act, and fraud.
