Councillor of State and Delegate for European Law at the Council of State, Jean-Luc Sauron led the French delegation during the negotiation of Directive 95/46/EC. He was the French tutor for the Council of Europe’s distance learning program 2016-2018 (HELP Data protection & privacy life program which covers Council of Europe data law [convention n°108] and EU law [RGPD]). Since 2018, he is the director of the RGPD-DPO university diploma at the University of Paris Dauphine where he is an Associate Professor. He is also the Director of the RGPD-DPO certificate at the University Dauphine Tunis since 2018.He has written several articles on RGPD and the first application jurisprudence. He is passionate about data protection issues. His expertise also include issues related to the good governance of state aid.
