Jacob Turner is an associate at the London office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen and Hamilton LLP, where he specialises in international disputes. From 2015-2016 he was a Judicial Assistant (Law Clerk) at the UK Supreme Court, for Lord Mance. He has published articles in a number of international legal journals on topics including international arbitration claims arising from debt restructuring and comparative criminal law. Prior to working at Cleary Gottlieb Jacob taught law at Oxford University and King’s College London, and also worked as a legal advisor and speechwriter, at the Permanent Mission of a Sovereign State to the United Nations in New York. He holds law degrees from Oxford and Harvard Universities. He is the author of a forthcoming book on the Legal Regulation of Artificial Intelligence, due to be published in 2018 by Springer.
