Hanna Anttilainen

Hanna Anttilainen has 20 years of experience in competition law. She has worked for the European Commission since 2011 and is currently a Head of Unit at DG COMP dealing with merger control. Prior to her Head of Unit position she was Deputy Head of Unit and Case Manager also in the area of merger control. In her current position she manages the unit responsible for analysing mergers in the energy and environment sector, manages teams in roughly 40-50 merger cases per year and contributes to competition policy development. Prior to joining DG COMP, she worked for nearly 13 years in Brussels in private practice in the area of competition law. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of Helsinki University in 1998 with a Master’s degree.
