Gaston Fernandez joined Hogan Lovells in 2008. He is an office managing partner. Bridging the gap between China and Latin America, Gaston P. Fernandez handles project development and finance matters involving both regions. Fluent in Spanish, Mandarin, and English, he facilitates deals for clients across borders and cultures. Gaston lived in China from 2005-2011, working at a prominent Chinese law firm for a year before joining the firm’s Beijing office and then transferring to the Miami office in 2011. He often represents Latin American national governments and companies and has worked on matters involving Asian investment throughout Latin America in the petrochemical, power generation, transportation, and mining industries. He has been involved with the negotiation and successful closing of credit facilities for Latin American national governments and companies from U.S., European, and Asian banks.
