Fabienne Ilzkovitz

Fabienne Ilzkovitz is Professor of Economics in the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). She was Principal Adviser responsible for the ex-post economic evaluation of competition policy within the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission until the 1 Jiuly 2020. Previously, she held the position of Director responsible for the implementation of EU competition policy in the area of transport and postal services in the Directorate General for Competition. She also led several teams of economists in the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission where she worked on the assessment of product market reforms and Internal Market issues. She has published widely on issues dealing with European integration, competition policy and industrial economics.
