Elisabetta M. Lanza is an investigative officer at the Italian Competition Authority, where she currently works at the Department for Competition. She has been a case-handler of several cases, among which: the "Aspen" case dealing with an abuse of dominance for excessive pricing in the pharmaceutical sector; the “Unilever” case related to exclusivity agreements and fidelity-inducing rebates. Before working for the Italian Competition Authority, she was a solicitor in the field of administrative law and civil law. She holds a Law Degree from the University of Catania and a Ph.D. in Constitutional Law from the University of Ferrara. Furthermore, as a visiting scholar she conducted research at Yale Law School. She frequently lectures about her research and practice at universities and scientific conferences. She has written several articles in the fields of competition law and public law, and a book in administrative law.
