Eleni Theodoropoulou focuses her practice on EU and international trade and investment law. She advises on EU sanctions and export controls, EU customs matters, as well as international trade and investment law and policy in the context of free trade agreements. She has participated in several export control investigations and internal audits, and has extensive experience in advising clients on how to best build their trade compliance structure. Eleni also advises on issues related to Foreign Direct Investment screening in the EU. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Eleni gained experience at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Trade (Investment Unit), the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development in Geneva, the Permanent Representation of Greece to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, and in private practice in Athens.
