Concentrating on regulatory and administrative law, David Antón has been advising clients in a wide scope of cases. He has deep experience in the energy, infrastructure and natural resource sectors, environment and government regulatory, including public procurement, transport, national defence, gambling, etc. He defends the interests of clients before public authorities in the administrative stage and the contentious-administrative stage in the courts, at national, regional and local level. He is committed to find realistic and workable solutions in complex regulatory scenarios. Starting with a deep knowledge of the relevant sector, he is aware of the complexity of regulatory frameworks and the concerns of the clients acting in the so-called regulated sectors. His approach to cases consists of a 360º analysis to reach a position that allows understanding the perspective of the clients and the point of view of counterparts in order to anticipate any impact, and find the most cost and time efficient solution. He is able to display a collection of different actions in order to share with clients the pros and cons and make a decision on the best way to proceed. He has also advised public authorities, so he is well-positioned to understand their point of view and reconcile private targets with public interest. With a deal-making attitude, he has wide experience in the regulatory aspects of M&A transactions, working closely with other teams to reach the best solution and solve or circumvent any regulatory obstacles in the path of a successful structure bearing in mind all potential risks.
