Daniel is a Senior Associate at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in the Brussels office. He advises clients on all aspects of EU competition law, including merger control, cartel and antitrust investigations, horizontal and vertical agreements, compliance programs and State aid. Daniel has acted in multijurisdictional merger control reviews of major transactions in the food and drink, medical and energy sectors and has advised clients in EU cartel investigations in the shipping and animal feed sectors. He has developed expertise in various areas of vertical restraints having regularly advised clients on issues of resale price maintenance, online sales restrictions, and selective distribution. Daniel is admitted to the bar in Madrid and Brussels (E-List), and speaks fluent Spanish, German and English.
