Chris Jenkins is an Economics Director at the UK Competition and Markets Authority. He led the analysis on the CMA’s market study into Online Platforms and Digital Advertising which was published in July 2020. He has subsequently worked on several antitrust cases relating to digital markets, including the CMA’s investigation into Google’s Privacy Sandbox, and is involved in establishing the Digital Markets Unit within the CMA. During his time at the CMA, Chris has led the analysis on a large number of market studies, merger investigations and competition enforcement cases, and was previously responsible for coordinating the CMA’s economic research work. Prior to joining the CMA, he worked as an economist at the OFT, HM Treasury, the Department for Business and as an economic consultant at Oxera.
