Andreas Blomquist

Andreas Blomquist is a partner in EY’s Law practice and is focused on capital markets, financial regulations and competition law. Prior to joining EY in 2021, Andreas Blomquist was associate vice president at Nasdaq and the Stockholm stock exchange. At Nasdaq, Andreas was for 10+ years responsible for managing the legal affairs of the listings team in the Nordics. This included being responsible for coordinating and drafting rulebooks for all equity and debt instruments, questions regarding IPO’s and business developments as well as giving expert advice on the market abuse regulation, takeover rules and other financial regulations. It also included extensive contacts with various stakeholders like for example companies, banks, legal and financial advisers, authorities etc. Andreas Blomquist was also responsible for disputes, court proceedings and competition law issues in Europe as well as cases in front of the Stockholm Exchange’s Disciplinary Committee, an independent body dealing with issuers and trading members compliance with the rules of the Swedish securities market. Andreas has an extensive experience of dealing with the financial supervisory authorities and self-regulatory bodies in the Nordic countries. Prior to the exchange Andreas worked as advokat/associate at international law firms in Stockholm and Brussels. He has also served as junior judge at a Stockholm District Court. Andreas holds a Master of Laws degree from Stockholm University and has also studied law at the University of Vienna.
