Senior Associate

Alper Karafil is a senior associate with ACTECON and is based in their Istanbul office where he provides legal advice to national and multinational clients concerning competition law, regulation and data protection law. Alper assists clients mainly on the investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority, merger control related matters and day-to-day issues on competition law. He also plays an active role in compliance projects conducted within the scope of the Turkish and European data protection legislations. After beginning his education at the University of Vienna, Faculty of Law, Alper obtained his LLB degree from Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Law. Before joining ACTECON in August 2019, Alper worked in the data protection and compliance department of a reputable law firm. He is fluent in English and German.
