Tom Foster is a London-based associate at Gowling WLG who advises on a broad range of intellectual property rights with a particular focus on patent litigation and its interaction with FRAND principles. Tom’s focus on patent litigation derives from his mathematical background having graduated from Durham University with a maths-centric degree in Natural Sciences. Tom has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law at Oxford University. Tom’s work in the telecommunications sector has allowed him to gain extensive experience of working with international clients as well as European and US counsel, and to understand the issues that are inherent in cross-border litigation.
