Sophie Harnay

University Paris Nanterre

Sophie Harnay is Professor at the University Paris Nanterre and a member of the laboratory EconomiX (CNRS). Her research interests include law and economics and the economics of law and legal institutions and governance, with a specific focus on the regulation of the legal profession. She has published several books and articles in French and international peer-refereed journals. She is currently Secretary General of the French Association of Law and Economics (AFED). She is also a research associate with the Chaire Gouvernance et Régulation (Université Paris Dauphine – PSL) and a member of the Observatoire d’Ethique Publique (OEP). She is also a former member of the College of the French Competition Authority (regulated professions department).
